Provider compatibility
Run the provider diagnostics when an installed CLI stops accepting an invocation. Protocol fixtures and live version/help probes provide different evidence; a fixture passing does not verify a real provider login.
Check the installed CLI
The Provider compatibility workflow runs on adapter changes, pushes to main, manual dispatch and weekly. It installs official Claude Code 2.1.300/2.1.302 and Codex 0.162.0/0.162.1 in isolated directories, plus the current official Linux x64 Antigravity build. Antigravity downloads are verified against the SHA-512 checksum in the official updater manifest. The exact observed version, platform, Node version, timestamp, required flags and missing capabilities are retained in a 30-day JSON artifact per matrix entry. A missing required flag, unknown probe or unexpected pinned version fails its job.
These real binary probes run --version and --help only with a new empty home and no account credentials. npm installs use the explicit public registry and empty user/global configuration, and probes execute the installed absolute binary path rather than falling back to a host CLI. Pinned versions compare complete semantic versions. They never sign in, list account models, ask an agent to perform work or spend inference quota. Installing an official package may run its vendor installer. Maintained process fixtures separately exercise stream normalization, error typing, structured results, sessions, cancellation and Codex app-server behavior. Help compatibility and fixture success do not prove live account/inference behavior.
Run a pinned probe locally with node --import tsx scripts/check-provider-compatibility.ts codex 0.162.1 /tmp/codex-compatibility.json. The current Antigravity channel probe runs on Linux x64/arm64 (glibc or musl). Successful probes define evidence for those exact versions; versions outside the matrix remain untested and installed health checks still apply. Update pins explicitly after reviewing release notes and the reports. CI must run on GitHub before its scheduled evidence is available.

Local acceptance on October 18, 2026 passed official Claude Code 2.1.300/2.1.302 and Codex 0.162.0/0.162.1 probes on macOS arm64, plus the official current Antigravity 1.4.2 binary in an isolated Linux arm64 musl Docker container. Exact receipts are in provider-compatibility-evidence.json. Linux x64 CI execution remains a separate platform check.
